"letting go" of your older child ...

as parents, we spend all of the early childhood years and older teen years preparing to "let our child go." we hope we have built a strong foundation for their next chapter of life ... outside of our doors. what things can you tell us about this tender time that YOU have experienced? have you cheered your child on by giving them a special scrapbook of their life on graduation day? a special family or friend celebration or party? have you found a special way for your child to experience a possible future career? what special memories have you made "preparing for college" (or leaving them there that first day!) or "finding that first apartment"? how have you loved as you "let go" ...
